The Romulan Archive is dedicated to the preservation and advancement of Rihannsu history, language, and civilization. Its purpose is to collect, examine, and preserve the historical record of the Star Empire through the study of its institutions, peoples, sciences, traditions, and collective memory.
The Archive maintains a growing body of research spanning political history, military development, diplomacy, philosophy, architecture, religion, medicine, economics, domestic life, and the cultural traditions that have shaped generations of Rihannsu. Alongside historical scholarship, the Archive serves as the home of the Nahi System, an evolving body of linguistic research devoted to the continued study, preservation, and teaching of the Rihannsu language.
History is rarely preserved in full. Records are lost, altered, or forgotten, leaving only fragments from which a clearer understanding may be assembled. The work of the Archive is to examine those fragments with rigor, preserve what remains, and ensure that knowledge entrusted to one generation is not lost to the next.
The Archive exists in service of memory, for a civilization is remembered not only by its governments and its wars, but by its language, its families, its traditions, and the lives of those who came before us.
